I have joined the Dark Side - which is to say I have started finding people on Facebook. Not that I've put anything on my own yet. One of these days I will. Really.

Both of these were based off of vintage pinups. I love working from vintage photos because they have a greater variety of body-type. I am especially please with Ava - I have been having LOTS of trouble with inking, so she was a challenge in that regard because heavy lines would have ruined the look, plus the shading under the sheer material was tough.

The website should be back up shortly - now I just need to update it (which I AM working on, but it is a long road!) So here's some new art for you - not as much as I wish I had, but I do need to rest some, and the big rent-push wore me out. (So much so that I missed most of SYTYCD last night! Wah! ...which was good luck, I suppose, for Evan & Randi, who got all my votes in the absence of compelling evidence to vote otherwise. The de-pimping of Evan has annoyed me severely.)

SYTYCD results tonight!

This first picture took me For. Ev. Er. to finish. But I think she was worth it! I need to rescan to get all the details - the diamonds go all the way to the edge of the paper - but you get the point ;) She is actually priced a little less than what I think she's worth in time and effort, but I have my doubts about what the market can bear. The other two were also more work than usual - dark skin tones are murder to get decent, and Oregano had a lot of detail and burnishing. Click to buy! I got rent to pay!

I am back to inking with crowquills. Pigment pens have been driving me crazy lately, running out too fast and squishy points and stupid stuff. I get overall finer lines with crowquills but I am still too serpentine. :(
